xposed got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Guitar Video Website Uncoded Template & Logo Contest
Check out xposed's Logo design contest…
This contest is for a logo & template design. I am looking for a unique template that will inspire any guitarists immediately when they enter the site!
What's your vision?
Tagline: Open To Suggestions Desired Color Scheme: Retro/Modern Feel - Simple Gradients Desired Style: YouTube.com - It has a light atmosphere with a white background. I would like guitargrind.com to have the same feel as youtube with a mix of digg.com Accepted File Formats: Any Type - my interest is in the finished project visible to the web guitargrind.com is best thought of as a youtube community for guitarplayers, or just people who enjoy watching guitar videos. View the Live Site The site is running off of the script - www.humorsoftware.com For The Logo: 200px wide x 85 px height I want to see creative, simple designs. Suggestions: 1. Grinding gears between letters 2. guitar on the top 42.5 pixels, & grind on the bottom 42.5 pixels (guitargrind) 3. working in a guitar fret board or body shape 4. A professional animated feel such like CartoonSmart.com 5. Having .com in the logo is not neccessary Those 4 do not have to be followed, do whatever you wish! Take in to consideration that the logo will be used for banner marketing and possible implementation in to a flv player logo (like youtubes in bottom right hand corner) for videos uploaded through the site. For The Uncoded Template: Fixed & Centered 800-900 pixels wide. 2-3 Columns. Left Column: 200 pixels wide (just like the logo) Main content column 500-600 pixels The far right column has no content ideas for now. Just have it as an option for future expansions. For the template, stress simplicity for the graphics and design. If it looks busy I will not select it. As an example, digg.com does not look busy in my humble opinion. I have included screen shots of the two main pages that customers will be visiting, and how I think they should be structured. main home page main video page This contest was originally listed in multiple categories: - Logo Design - Web Page Design (Coded)
