Loparka's design was originally a contender in a contest I ran here a couple years ago. I always liked and remembered her design but was talked into awarding the original win to someone else. I regret this for the last few years and finally got in touch with her to make it right, and pay her for her excellent work! It is elegant, well composed, beautiful to look at and just the right touch of classic and modern. Mahalo Nui Loa from Hawaii!
How Callie Brodt started their logo design journey
The Farmer's Daughter
Hello, my name is Merritt Brodt and i live on a dairy and own a small country store in Ferndale California. Our store is everything a farmers daughter would want and more. We carry western clothing such as Cowgirl Tuff, Farmgirl and Farmboy clothing, and Justin Boots. Also we carry many sweatshirts, candles, western jewlery, signs, farm related gifts, western belts and John Deere merchandise. We started out as primitive store and now we are updating to target our local community, since i am a farmers daughter and work on the dairy i thought this would be the perfect name and fit well in our small town.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience would be tourists and our community. Our community consists of many dairy farms and beef ranches, so we sell alot of merchandise to our locals. Lets just say there are more cows than people in our town.
We want our logo to be an updated western look, no cartoonish embellishments. We love all of the Farmgirl brand clothing logos at Farmboybrand.com. We would like it some what old fashion but yet up to date. Not so cutsey but simple so we can use it on our bags, labels, business cards, sign, etc. The colors we like our brown, black, and off-white or white. We like old fashion feed sack designs and possibly the distressed look.
