xsession got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Extreme Sports Logo Design
Check out xsession's Logo design contest…
Looking for a clean, simple, cool logo for my website XSESSION (http://www.xsession.com.au) Think snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, think adrenaline, action, speed.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Open to any colours Desired Style: Simple but eye catching Accepted File Formats: Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) The logo is for my extreme sports website XSESSION. Please visit the website to see what it is all about (http://www.xsession.com.au) I would like a logo of the same quality as say Billabong, Quiksilver, Burton etc You may like to do something with the 'X' that could also be used as a logo by itself. The logo must clearly say "xsession" not "x-session", there is an exisiting brand called session so I don't want it to be too similar to that. The logo will be used on the website, t-shirts, stickers etc. Colours: I like blues but am open to anything If you could design at about 300dpi that would be great. I had a logo professionally designed but I'm not 100% sold on it, you can view it here: http://www.xsession.com.au/xsessionlogo.jpg I think you guys can do better! Thanks and Good Luck!

It all began with a design brief.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
xsession collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
