How General Things started their logo design journey
Feedback CGP (Feedback Consumer Guidance Panels)
We would like to develop a website and logo that entices consumers to give us their email address and demographic information in exchange for the opportunity to win prizes, receive free food prototypes, and earn cash by participating in a Feedback Consumer Guidance Panel.
We're asking people to design a logo first, and then after we pick a logo to develop a website based on that logo.
So we need a logo!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
General consumers ages 13-80. The design should be reflective of that and thus generically inviting, something young and old alike find pleasing.
Look and feel:
The logo can use any font(s) as long as once it's rasterized it's safe to use on multiple backgrounds, which is to say that it aliases/anti-aliases nicely against them.
It should be "Web 2.0"-esque, as cliched as that sounds. Bright colors, consumer friendly, etc.
It should ultimately be delivered as a scalable EPS or AI file. Unscalable bitmapped logos are not acceptable.
