How UBP started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
What’s your company slogan?
Live a calmer life
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Evelyn is the Qalma Queen, many refer to her as 'Lady Evelyn'. She is immaculately dressed and has an air of calm composure.
She teaches traditional yoga and conducts astrology readings and advises on nutrition and healthy living.
She helps stressed out, professional women to find a calm way of living, to take everything in their stride and avoid stress.
Qalma is a play on the word calmer/karma and she tagline is - Live a calmer life.
She wants her new brand to reflect less about her specific talents (yoga etc) and more about the outcome the clients have once they have been on her program.
Full 1 page brief is attached, wondering if the Q of the brand name could be an icon (some of the symbols attached to the brief may help you with this.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Aquas: Empathy, compassion, clarity and precision.
Purples: Imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury.
Greens: Growth, harmony and success.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
This is not really physical fitness, it's more the health/wellness industry.
We are not looking for generic yoga images, we are looking for an easily identifiable icon and cleverly designed brand identity that communicates calmness and relief from a frantic life.
Please no lotus flowers, generic images of women with arms outstretched or over-used healing iconics, lets see something real and refreshing.
I have included an image of the clients existing brand which has some merit but is only very basic, too green and too many different typefaces.
