I have been thinking of "...promotions with a bite! " However, this slogan may not be in concert with my fun, loveable, happy go lucky logo concept...feel free to suggest another.
Business & Consulting
We are a new Promotional branding agency. While I have been in the business over 20 years; this is my new company and with the launching of it, I have two passions coming together - my business and my dogs! Put On the Dog searches out the best quality and "just right" promotional products for all our clients (items they will give away and mostly brand with their logo). Our target market is all over the country and falls within the canine (dog) community, the Corporate (Health, Energy); my local small town business community, Sports (Hockey, Figure Skating). Most of our clients are between 30 - 65 years old. They are well educated, well read and most have well developed style and sense of humor. We will develop custom promotions for Trade Show/Industry Meetings, New Product Launches, Corporate Gifts, Employee Motivation, fundraising, sales conferences, staff meetings or employee events, holiday gifts and employee recognition. Our canine clients are involved in all levels of field trials, obedience trials, agility and just about any place where dogs compete. On a personal level I own, train, compete and breed field trial Labrador retrievers. The logo Put On the Dog (similar to Put On the Ritz) can be cross marketed to my target markets. To me Put On the Dog means - put your best foot forward and you have SWAGGER! It's tongue and cheek fun! The dog (icon) should be adorable, loveable and relatable and be a caricature of a Labrador Retriever (floppy ears, silly grin, tail wagging). He should be black or yellow/orange. Dress him up - put a fedora (cocked to the side), a baseball hat or maybe even top hat..slipping over his eye. He can be the dog version of Put on the Ritz complete with top hat, bow tie, sunglasses or he can be more like Marmaduke - less formal, bling around his neck, bandana. Have fun with him! He is a dog who is happy go lucky and thinks he is cool! He has SWAGGER and ATTITUDE! Colors for the logo should be vibrant! Please see my reference icon - MARMADUKE
Our client's promotions are “a cut above" the rest; adding a touch of playfulness, and uniqueness. In our company - presentation is everything! The logo imagine that I am suggesting you reference is the dog Marmaduke. Marmaduke is instantly recognizable, loveable and fun. He is representational of what it means to PUT ON THE DOG! This can be seen in his stance, the way he holds his head, tilt of the hat, sunglasses, tail wag and “bling” around his neck! He epitomizes the “PUT ON THE DOG" experience – ATTITUDE and SWAGGER! To recap: PUT ON THE DOG finds promotional products that maximize return and bring client messages to life by answering these 3 questions: 1. Is the product and/or presentation really different? 2. Is the message really memorable? 3. Is the promotional product experience strategically aligned with the client’s brand and message? Our target markets are throughout the country. Our clients range in age from 30 - 65. Their economic status is middle class to quite wealthy. Education – college graduates and advanced degrees. For the most part they are a highly read, intellectual and physically active – oh; and a good many of them are a bit quirky! • Energy companies • HealthCare facilities • Addiction and rehab centers etc. • The highly competitive field trial retriever market and the canine community in general • Community involvement (small local business). The name “PUT ON THE DOG” enables us to cross market to these very versatile markets – the thing that ties them all together is they all want to STAND OUT! Our logo should address as many of the bullet points above as possible. It should offer the opportunity to be versatile - to extract parts of it; to use the logo without text (and as time goes by to become instantly identifiable as the "PUT ON THE DOG” experience). I will use the logo in the following applications: • Embroidery (without large stitch counts) • Debossing/embossing • Laser • Screen-printing (get the message across with as few colors as necessary) • Website • Social media • Collateral
