I loved working with "grade" on our Tech Sister Cities logo design. He was responsive, open to changes and made those changes quickly. He's a true professional, and I would recommend using him for any graphic design project. I know I will call on him again when I need graphic design work again!

How Douglas Arrison started their logo design journey
Logo design needed that will serve as logo for website and business cards - but could eventually be used on solar products (solar bags, backpacks, other consumer solar items). I'm looking for something simple but striking and slightly edgy. Most competitors are old school and use the sun in the "O" of solar. That is NOT what I'm looking for. My self done logo is a nod to what I'm looking for. Thank you!
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The dasolar.com business is a web based business. The main functions of our site are to educate people about energy and renewable energy - and sell solar products (from solar lights all the way up to solar panels.) The logo should be simple, fresh and give a new feel - and be translatable to business cards and ultimately to consumer products.
The ".com" needs to be part of the logo as that is how people willknow how to reach us. The "da" in "dasolar" represents the foundersinitials, but we recognize that alot of people will look at the nameand pronounce it like "daaaa". Oh well. Our preference is to keep the"dasolar.com" as small letters in keeping with the lower case nature ofthe web address.
Simple, clean, fresh, new. I like the concept of the Fibonnaci spiral of the sunflower on the home page - maybe work that in somehow? I likethe use of colors to break up the name into it's parts (my attempt toseparate the "da").
The colors on the site can be a guide for logo colors. Feel free to contact me with questions.
