My partner and I are building a home health and hospice business. We have just completed a capital raise with a major private equity firm for $50 million. We're looking to buy a platform company in the Southeast and then build it via de novos, organic growth, and acquisitions. We want to build a regional powerhouse that delivers outstanding care in a high quality fashion and build a reputation for integrity
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience will be hospital discharge planners, social workers, physicians, elderly patients, and of course our employees. We want it to be something that engenders confidence, quality, pride and strength. Perhaps using a bold H to anchor it and then weave in the peaceful, tranquil feeling will work.
Halcyon is a greek word for calm, peaceful and tranquil. It was used to describe a kingfisher that had the ability to calm the seas and bring peace and happiness. I do not want to have the bird incorporated in the logo....I'd actually like to focus on peaceful, tranquil and find a way to incorporate a capital H to play off of the alliteration with Halcyon Home Health. It's important that it also gives a crisp, clean feeling. There have been fraud and abuse allegations in the industry....so I want this have a bit of a sterile quality to it that gives a caring, supportive message. Perhaps bringing in a home that plays off of the H would also work. I do not want a cartoon....it has to have a very serious, sincere feeling to it.
One of the other factors that is necessary to provide great service in home health is to do it very cost effectively. We want the logo to not be too elaborate so folks get a feeling that what you see is what you get. Additionally, it does need to balance all of this with a bit of a high tech feeling...the key to reducing healthcare costs in the future is using data to make better decisions. We want to be a Company that utilizes technology to provide better, more focused care in the home and use data to distinguish our service.
