A blog featuring videos on all things "paleo". Diet, lifestyle, fitness, and local resources for people in Midcoast Maine. (The "paleo" or "ancestral health" comes at diet and lifestyle from the perspective of evolutionary biology.) The blog may also feature some research and speculation on neanderthals in particular.
The target audience is anyone who wants to live a healthier life, with special emphasis on local (Maine) viewers, and those dealing with chronic digestive issues.

I work in video, so it would be helpful to have any different elements of the logo as separate files so that I can animate them individually as called for. Thanks.
I want there to be some action or tension between the two sections of the word "re" and "anderthal," as if one is interrupting or replacing the other.
In the design I would like it to be clear that there is movement FROM the modern BACK TO the PRIMITIVE. It's very important that some of the logo suggests roughness or something primitive, ideally capturing the essence of "neanderthal" in a fun way.
The rough, primitive element should suggest fun and freedom. Perhaps in a carefree way. Perhaps in a humorous way. Whatever it is, it's essential!
