Chamals3 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for Surfstream, a real-time social video site
Check out Chamals3's Logo design contest…
Surfstream is a social video website where communities or friends can come to share and watch videos in real time.
Logo types to explore
This logo will be used for a video website being created by 4 Computer Science grads at Stanford University. Your design could potentially represent a very successful website. We want our logo to be easy to read and not over the top. It should convey the feeling of our website: a place where friends and communities can come together to create online channels of video. This is a place where people come to watch the latest and greatest videos online. This means that our demographic is inclusive of anyone who consumes videos online. This could be funny videos, sports videos, music videos, etc. The logo should not convey a type of video (logos that are used for FunnyOrDie.com or Break.com are not what we are looking for). Our logo has to be simple and playful and still be the logo of a website where people of all ages and demographics will go to. We'd like to keep the linen background in the second image as the background of our website, so the logo will need to work with being layered on top of that background, as well as being able to stand alone on a white background. This text of the logo will need to be a single line or at least compact in height compared to width. We'd like to keep the color scheme we've presented in our logos, but feel free to tune it slightly to whatever you think works. Edit: If you could post your logo on both a white background and the dark linen background, it would be much appreciated.
