Tell your story. Live forever.
Art & Design
I'm starting a personal history business. I help people tell, document, preserve and share their life stories to share with their families and future generations. My audience is mostly women, aged 40-80, mostly with children and/or grandchildren. They either want to tell their own story or document the story of someone in their family, often a parent or grandparent. The process involves people reminiscing about their adventures in life, including their childhood, school years, early adulthood, milestones like getting married, having and raising children, friendships, lessons learned, etc.
Logo types to explore
I actually really like the sample logo I've uploaded. It's from the 99designs logo store. In fact, I think I'm really just looking for a simplified take on that logo that is less busy (with all the leaves) but still incorporates the things I love about it. What I love about it: - Most of the logos, websites, etc. that I see in my industry feel really old fashioned and serious. I love that this one feels young and playful. One of the fun parts of the process of recounting and recording one's adventure is reminiscing about fun memories from childhood. I'd like to focus on that fun. - It shows two kids playing together. Life stories invariably include other people, often other members of the family, possibly ancestors that people reading/listening to the finished produce will never have met. In those two children's silhouettes I see my (or a client's) grand parents or great grandparents playing when they were children, greeting me happily from the past. I hope I'm conveying this powerful image and response well. - The tree plays on the notion of a family tree - I think the multi colors are nice in contrast to the green that is the base color on my website (www.onmyadventure.com) and of my brand. Gives a splash of energy/life, is refreshing in a way. I also like the company name and tag line below the picture, though I can see instances where I'll want to just have the picture by itself. Not sure if this you can provide versions with and without the tag line or not. Oh, and I didn't really find an Industry in the list that fit, so I went with Art and Design as the final products have a design element to them. Probably don't pay too much attention to that though. Thank you!
