joseph.termine got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Copurna needs a software consulting company logo that shows compassion and LGBT pride
Check out joseph.termine's Logo design contest…
We are an LGBT owned consulting shop that provides friendly technical and management support to software development teams who work in the Orlando, FL hospitality industry. We wish to demonstrate in our logo our sense of compassion for the people who develop and use software. We want our logo to seem ”friendly” and be useful in variety of media and color settings. We also want to show our Orlando LGBT pride in our logo Though we are professionals, we don't necessarily want to have a sterile logo or typeface that could be confused with a boring law firm or body shop consulting firm. We prefer Adobe typefaces. We have included an early logo featuring the ”Copurna flower” which we have used, but we would like something better. Designs are not obligated to use it, and we would love to see someone’s own creative take.
Other color requirements
A good logo would be adaptable to many color configurations. For instance, at Christmas we might change the logo color to red or green and it would still work.
We are interested in pictorial logos that use fonts that are not obviously identifiable from a PowerPoint slide deck. We are attaching an early logo we used for presentations that worked, but would like something more interesting. An idea that incorporates the ”Copurna flower” might still be a good one as it suggests ”connectedness” and all pathways converging on a central point -- but there are other ways of expressing these ideas and we invite any artist to suggest their own. Feel free to dump our ”Copurna flower” and go with something else.

SM was super great and easy to work with. They took my vision and color suggestions and created the perfect logo for my business. They knew exactly what small changes I asked for, and totally delivered the perfect logo.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
