CrossRoads Church
CrossRoads Church is an interdenominational church of around 400 located in a suburb of Lake Charles, Louisiana. CrossRoads does not fit the mold of a typical “southern conservative church.” We strive to be open and accepting to all – meaning we welcome those with crazy pasts (even presents) and those that don’t “look the part” of a Christian. We are a casual church – no suits, dresses required and are locally known for our rockin’ band.
Our mission has always been to restore the hearts of those in our church family and ultimately help relationships with God grow. Lately, it has really begun to make a push toward serving those outside our four walls – locally and internationally.
We have doubled in size in the last two years and are still growing. God is doing amazing things. We feel we need to rebrand ourselves to reflect this energy.
Our web address is http://www.CRoads.org - don’t judge the design – just if you want to get more of a feel for us.
We will continue to focus on our current target audience, which is the un-churched and Christians that aren’t scared to break the traditional “rules” of religion and be real in their faith.
We have many projects within our rebranding efforts we need to tackle. To begin this, we need a new logo. We would like it to be a vector graphic, so we can easily resize it to be used in items as small as brochures to items as large as exterior banners for our building.
Direction: We are open to going in two directions: edgy or sleek (probably leaning more toward an edgy feel).
Tip: There are many churches called CrossRoads, and two particularly within a 2-hour drive from us. So, to set us apart, we will want to make sure the "R" in CrossRoads is kept capitalized. Another option (not required) would be to have our location (Moss Bluff) mentioned, but not too prominent.
Color: We want to steer clear of traditional, church-y colors (ex. maroon, navy, hunter green).
Lastly: We would also like the designer's suggestion on what fonts they would recommend to go with this logo (both a readable font for text-heavy designs and a good headline font). We will have the need for backgrounds (ex. web, slides, flyers, etc) to go with the logo, so if you feel like throwing us a bone and submitting one along with your logo design, of course we would welcome it!
