Always Ready LLC
I spent most of the past decade working in South America, where I managed sustainable development and disaster relief projects. Through these experiences I learned to appreciate how quickly modern amenities and basic services and supplies can disappear, leaving people and communities to fend for themselves. As a result, I created a business called Always Ready that helps families and communities improve their preparedness and resiliency by simplifying their lives, decreasing their reliance on the overcomplicated and often susceptible modern systems, and making plans to deal with disasters and emergencies. Always Ready is preparing to launch a website and blog: http://www.alwaysreadyllc.com. The blog will provide information about improving community preparedness and resiliency, offer consulting services to help families and communities improve their preparedness and resiliency, and sell relevant supplies, such as emergency kits. This business is NOT a survival school and it is not fear based.
Always Ready works with individual families as well as communities that are concerned about or vulnerable to natural and manmade disasters. Always Ready also has some institutional clients. Families tend to be middle to upper income, and have little to no experience with preparedness but are now concerned about it because of growing uncertainties related with what seems to be increasingly severe weather, the economic downturn, etc.
I would like to the logo to inspire confidence. Also, living simply and in harmony with nature is important to family and community resiliency, so, if possible, it would be good if the logo communicated this.
A few other considerations:
1. No cartoons or clip art.
2. Again, it should inspire confidence but not be grave or scary (like I wrote above, this business is NOT a survival school and it is not fear based).
3. Use mostly blue, green and brown (earth tones).
I have attached a logo I had designed for another website to give you an idea of something that worked for me.
