Our business is called Kingfield Pilates & Movement. It is, as the name suggests, a Pilates studio, though we also offer some other classes, like barre, which is why movement is also part of the name (though we often refer to it only as Kinfield Pilates).
Our target audience is individuals looking to improve their health, whether it is to address or injury or just get in better shape. The majority our women, though we also work with men, and we have a wide range of ages. Our customers tend to be fans of the arts, concerned about liberal causes, and interested in making the most of their lives.
One of the most unique aspects of the business is that it is based in our home in a studio that we added in our basement. As a result, we focus on private classes, with just the teacher and student, on up to small classes with up to four or five students.
The fact that the business is based out of our home is one of the things that our customers most enjoy (in addition to the high quality teaching). The studio is a very tranquil, zen-like space, as opposed to big studios that have lots of commotion and people feel almost a competitive atmosphere (with a need to dress up and impress others).
Instead, they often have our space to themselves and can focus on their Pilates. In addition, we live in a beautiful older craftsman home, with lots of great woodwork, bright colors on the outside, and set in a cute neighborhood (which is known as Kingfield) that has lots of coffee shops, good restaurants, and is not far from a beautiful lake.
So, those are all elements that we believe come together to make Kingfield Pilates & Movement a unique, special place. They are also, we hope, elements that in one way or another help you find inspiration for a logo.
To get an additional sense for the business, you could go to our website, kingfieldpilates.com, and perhaps the most helpful page in terms of logo design is the page that includes pictures of our studio, which is: http://www.kingfieldpilates.com/projects/.
