wimbet got their new logo design by running a design contest:
BBQ Heroes - Logo Needed for New Site - $155
Check out wimbet's Logo design contest…
New community site geared towards BBQ and grilling(with attitude). Target audience is males 18-35. Open to any ideas and colors. I've followed the other contests here and was impressed with the many creative results.
What's your vision?
Tagline: None Desired Color Scheme: Open Desired Style: Open - See detailed description. Accepted File Formats: Illustrator or Photoshop Don't take anything I say too seriously. I'm really interested in seeing many different styles and ideas. However, this is where my brain currently sits... (UPDATE - SINCE I WAS NOT VERY CLEAR, THE MASCOT HAS NO DIRECT RELATION TO THE LOGO. THEY ARE TWO SEPARATE THINGS. I JUST MENTIONED IT SO YOU COULD GET A FEEL FOR THE SITE) I already have an artist working on a mascot which is a comic book character(to go with the "heroes" part of the name). Think DBZ, Conan, and 300 mixed together. It will be a chef dude who enjoys slaughtering animals. So its kind of a dark sense of humor but just something to help with the overall branding of the site. However, I still need a logo/gfx to represent the name "BBQ Heroes". All color schemes are welcome, but when I think of grilling the colors that come to mind are the colors of the items involved. Charcoal, meat, fire, metal of the pit, etc. I don't envision it being that complex because there will be detail represented in the character being developed. Also, the logo might be used later in some screen printing so something that is clean will help if we turn it into a two-tone design. Again, the target audience is MALES 18-35 so keep that in mind. I look forward to seeing all the entries and giving my feedback. If anything is unclear, please let me know. If other methods of payment are preferred, just ask me and we can work something out. Thank you sitepoint.
