Mr. Minitrucks got their new logo design by running a design contest:

Looking for a more sophisticated looking logo that summarizes in a glance what we sell - namely diecast miniature vehicles - mostly truck and bus replicas for corporate customers.
What's your vision?
Our company has grown and to portray that we are no longer a "small player" we are looking to update the logo we have used for the last 2 years. We are looking to get the message in the logo across, the someone who does not know what "diecast" refers to initially, will get the idea it is something related to vehicles once they see the logo. We will also incorpoate the logo and colors into our new website which is beginning development now. I don't think I would use a car or truck persay in the logo, but rather maybe select parts from a vehicle. The logo should look cutting edge - and not imply that what we sell is a toy, but rather a limited edition, highly detailed collectible piece. The idea is to get a logo that incoporates elements of motion, transportation sophistication etc...
- Item 1... Real Life Replicas is our slogan - I would like "Automotive" related, "sexy" colors like Black and Silver, or Navy or Silver use reds or burgendys to add splashs of color - no warm cuddily colors or earth tones. - File in vector format - Illustrator, and also as a JPEG.
- Item 1...Nothing :cutsie" No little figures, elfs, cuddly stuffed animals etc...
