New logo and business card wanted for Spotlight Lending

I am a private lender. I lend money for real estate transactions. I would like to stress that I have some ideas, shared here, and they are just ideas. You designer's expertise are the reason I'm here! So, my ideas are just suggestions and I look to you experts for alternative ideas and suggestions. I hope my ideas are at least an indication of some preferences. Please feel free to ask questions and engage in dialog. I was a commercial fisherman in my younger years. Lighthouses were very important to my survival and I have a love of them to this day. I would like to incorporate a lighthouse in the design, which is related to the company name, "Spotlight Lending". I think I would prefer it was a stylized lighthouse, as compared to a photo of a lighthouse. An outline sort of drawing, like a pencil sketch? Other ideas? But perhaps the design would include just the top portion of a lighthouse? There is no requirement to match the Heceta light. The Heceta light is just a suggestion. You may have better ideas. My target audience is people who are buying, restoring, and investing in real estate. I am essentially a banker. Conservative elegance is the desire.

I included my current business card. I like the very dark background. I also like the font used for my name. I do not like that the text color of the smaller text has insufficient contrast. It seems to be a bit difficult to read. My name's contrast is good. A stylized light house is desired, but I'm open to other ideas. Stylized beams of light may also play into the design. These play into the "Spotlight" name, of course. The dark background suggests elegance and polish. I have had complements on my current card, and it is OK, though I am not crazy about it. Again, I am open to other ideas. I included an image of a font that I really like. It is named University. It seems elegant. You may have better ideas. I will also need the graphics for a web site, but do not want a solid dark background for the whole there. The logo will also be needed for letterhead on documents. I am hopeful this project will result in follow-on design work for the web site and the documents. I really want to work with someone on an ongoing basis for additional design and graphics work. I am essentially a banker, so I desire elegance and a generally conservative look and feel. Please feel free to bounce other ideas around. I'd be happy to consider better ideas! You folks are the creative folks! :-)
