amplabsimports got their new landing page design by running a design contest:
Visual Appealing landing page that shows off Kids Terrarium Toy Product
Check out amplabsimports's Landing page design contest…
The intention of this one-page landing-page is to show off a single product. To make it very visually appealing. To make the viewer want it. To really highlight the great aspects of the product through a wonderful visual experience on this one-page. The product is intended for girls aged 4-12, and would be purchased by adults (parents, grandparents, relatives, friends). So the individual coming to the website would be in the 26-45 age range, male or female.
Colors are to you. I have put the product box and company logo in the files below. You can look at those, and use them to determine a color and theme for the site.
Elements to include in the landing page
Floating Buy button Buy button at or very near the bottom in section 6.
I will add various files below that should be helpful. 3 videos and a bunch of storyboards that will give context to the 3 sections of Parallax scrolling (remember... you don't design anything for that in this contest, just put a placeholder in between, that will be a videographers video that goes in those spots [Section 1&3&5]. There will also be some images for the Static content sections (these you do design in this contest, Sections 2&4&6]. Please use your creativity for these sections. Use stock images where you need to. Additionally, I will provide you as many images and renders of the actual product, and please use those where necessary.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Landing page design starts at $479.

And then… they selected a winner!
This was a contest and the Team of CS provided the design that matched my vision the most. The concept they provided needed some revisions and they managed to provide those fast and incorporated all requested changes. Overall this was a nice experience with not much communication needed.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
