I am a hip-hop artist and producer targeting avid listeners aged between 18-35.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
UPDATE: For any artist currently participating or considering doing so, I've added more reference images to the brief. I want cover artwork designed for my next single. It is titled 'Post Holiday Blues' and is a hip-hop/pop piece. I produced a rough sketch to provide context (I have attached some images to provide reference). I am looking to have the image format to be suitable for platforms such as iTunes and Spotify. In my rough sketch I have some items related to my holiday experience such as a cocktail jar on the left, a six pack of beer, some palm trees and a golf buggy. All these items are contained within a circle, which i want some objects to partially 'pop' out of. The cocktail jar I want to be a "pineapple caprioska" (a cocktail which I've attached an image for) and I'd like it to be slightly spilling from the top. On the right I have a golf buggy which slightly pops out of the bottom-right corner and I'd like the license plate to spell "ANTLRZ". However the buggy in my rough sketch is incomplete as i only drew this to provide context. It is supposed to be a complete vehicle in the foreground. The placement and proportions of the objects aren't necessarily how they need to be. I realised the palm trees were too close to the center in my rough sketch so I added a "guide". In this picture the palm trees have been moved slightly over to the right to open the picture up. From the mid section up i want it to be the sea with the sun and sky (you can use the golf buggy picture as a reference for the sea). From the mid section down (between and below the cocktail and palm trees/buggy) I want it to be comprised of "holiday related objects". So this could be a six pack of beer, sunglasses, a floral shirt etc (feel free to add what you think works in this section). The objects that fill the mid and lower section can overlap or jut out from one another. In my sketch I have the song title "Post Holiday Blues" added to the top left corner and the artist name "Antlers" in the bottom right. I'm not entirely sold on the text style or position so get as creative you'd like. Overall think of summer and warm colours. I understand this brief might seem a bit tedious but I just want it to reflect my idea as best as possible. Look forward to seeing what you can do!
If you would like to hear a sample of the song let me know and I'll send it to you!
