Design Nation (https://dn.businesstoday.org) is an all-expenses paid design conference for students and young people with a love for design that aims to inspire and empower the next generation of creative talent. It is an event for young creatives looking to break into the industry, build careers in design and explore the future of the industry as a whole. It celebrates and incorporates a diverse community of people who understand the importance of design and its role and impact in the world.

99designs is sponsoring the event and giving all attendees a tote bag as a memento of their Design Nation experience. We’re looking for an illustration or design that captures the creativity and resilience of the design community following an extremely challenging year - and helps inspire students to pursue a career in design. The design for the tote bag should include: - An illustration or graphic representing the enormous potential of a creative career in design, and that represents the diversity within the design community. If you want to explore a typography-based design, the phrase to use would be "Reimagining design", but illustrative concepts are very welcome as I'm conscious the logos are very text heavy. - Please take inspiration from the colours detailed in the Design Nation brand guide, but note that you do NOT have to stick rigidly to only this colour palette alone. Please include a brief explanation of your concept and the thinking behind your design. Style wise we are open to your suggestions and ideas! The design will also be printed on to a canvas coloured tote bag.
