What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
A dinosaur themed graphic to be laser etched onto a child's wooden puzzle.
Laser etching is better with simple line drawings without too much detail. The attached graphic of a Triceratops is pretty close to what I want in terms of style and subject: http://www.dinoleaks.com/wp-content…ops-05.gif
Nice variations in line weight, and oblique front view with foreshortened body behind head/frill. My preference maybe for the animal to be doing something rather than just standing (raised foot or gait suggest walking, mouth slightly open? Maybe compose some background scenery: mountain/hill, primitive plant foliage framing the view, grasses in foreground would be discretionary elements, but needs to be simple to provide sufficient contrast and clarity for the laser etching process. If you view the attached photo of the puzzle there is actually not a lot of scope for adding much scenery the overall dimensions of the puzzle is approx 360mm x 360mm. Every piece of the puzzle (3 x 15) should have some graphic information on it (the attached example has a number of blanks which is not desired)
As stated I like the angle of the subject of the attached graphic. What I wouldn't like is a full head on view or a full side on profile
