Timeglass needs a new icon or button design

My product is an app that users can use to track where they spend their time. It's intended mostly towards corporate workers, but also towards anybody who is interested in ensuring they use their time wisely.
What's your vision?
One rough idea I had in mind was to have the icon be a clock, out of which a small slice would be colored as if in a pie chart, or a small slice would be colored and pulled out (literally like a pizza slice). Obviously, the hope would be to make this happen _without_ making it look like a pizza. I'm also open to icon designs that literally mention the name of the app. There are some very successful examples of this (www.eat24.com is one, http://www.yelp.com is another). However, these examples usually have small product names, so not sure if it's really possible with "timeglass". The name of the app itself is a play on words like "looking glass" (meaning mirror) and "hour glass" (which is a device to measure time) - i.e., an app that lets you see your own time usage. Also note that I will probably use a variation of the icon colors as the color for the app's navigation bars, etc - so the colors need to be such that they will lend themselves to wider use in the app. Lastly, I aim this towards anybody who wants to see how they spend their time - maybe it's OK to be a little playful (i.e., not too corporate) in your choice of colors for the icon? I'm not sure about this - but am open to seeing playful icons like this maybe: https://www.iconfinder.com/icons/197251/clock_flat_time_icon Would also love to see more staid, corporate looking icons. I'd need both a retina and a non-retina version of the image (for iOS), and also something that can be used on Android.
My general feeling is that the icon should have too much detail / something that's not visible when the user looks at the icon on their phone. Simple, but catchy.
