First review the metroApplication.png, maybe even commit it to memory.
The metroApplication.png is a screen shot of an desktop application. Now imagine you could buy this application and a matching Wordpress theme as a bundle. What would the Wordpress theme look like?
If you think you know what that Wordpress theme would look like and have what it takes to make that happen then this project is for you.
Image what the metroWordpress.png would have to look like if it were the sister to the metroApplication.png. That's what we want.
It is critical that any submissions SCREAM the Metro UX.
Next it should look freakin' awesome!
The metroApplication.png looks great and the Metro Wordpress theme should look at least as good.
The metroApplication.png is a good image to start from, but you can also review the UI Design and Interaction Guide for Windows Phone 7 document.
And you can find tons of things on Windows Phone 7 on the Internet. But there is risk you'll end up with something that would look good on Windows Phone 7 and not Wordpress. Just be careful to balance the opportunity with the risk in doing so.
If it were me I might would do one design that is conservative and one that is more bold and daring but still fits in the Metro design.
If you have any questions, be sure to ask, we'll be sure to answer any questions ASAP.
Note: In order to have the Wordpress theme created we will need a layered PSD file. So you are responsible for the PSD file, and 99Designs will create the Wordpress theme for us from that.
Not sure if it helps but the font that is used in the Metro UX is a variant of the 'Segoe" font.
