Awesome design :)
Second time he did an AMAZING job; super creative, responsive and great to work with guy :)
Enodeer must have the patience of Job. We didn't have a solid idea for our album cover, so Enodeer provided us with different concepts until he struck the right tone we liked. After a few tweaks to the art, we had a winner. This is our 3rd gig with Enodeer and we'll continue to use him. We are a repeat customer.. for a reason.

I am looking for an artist to design a character for a children's book for readers ages 4-9.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Please read all of my notes before you begin. Thanks!
I am looking for an artist to design a character for a children's book for readers ages 4-9. The story is written in rhyme and is very Dr. Seuss-ish. This boy will be the main character. He needs to be goofy, skinny and awkward looking, but happy with a very boyish enthusiasm. The story starts with the boy playing a horn. As it progresses, he begins adding more and more instruments, so it's important that his body be on the long side to accommodate all the instruments. As for clothing, the story is set in I guess you would call historic Scotland? Please put the boy in knickers and a beanie-cap. He must also be wearing shoes and socks. Suspenders might be a good idea. The buildings will be made of stone and brick and the streets will be cobblestone, so his clothing should reflect that sort of period feel. I'm not looking for you to draw the set, just the character's face and body. The winning entry will be passed along to another artist who will be illustrating the book.
I'm not looking for replicas of these examples, but when I think of an awkward looking body, I think of the Snow Miser. And for boyish enthusiasm, the best example that comes to mind is Phineas from Phineas and Ferb. I've attached images of both. Also, right now I like the idea of this character having wild hair - like big, blonde surfer hair (another pic attached). I'm not married to this idea, and if you want to submit a character with a different style of hair, that's fine. The hair isn't as important as finding the best overall character. And finally, there's a certain style I'm looking for. I'm including a sample from an artist named Angel Alvarez who I had originally recruited to be the artist for this book. The picture of the pirates is hers. This style... the caricatures... that's what I'm looking for. Something light-hearted. I do not want a drawing of a boy that looks like a real life boy.
