Attorney & Law
--- Equal Defense for Immigrant Communities (EDIC) is a new and innovative non-profit legal services organization focused on rapidly responding to the incessant and ever-changing attacks on our immigrant community by the enforcement efforts of the current administration. Our model is simple. When the government engages in unjust and unlawful practices that result in the separation of families, the detention of children and adults and the deportation of members of the community, EDIC rapidly responds by providing a comprehensive defense – seeking relief in the Federal Court through emergency rapid response litigation, engaging the community to be part of the defense strategy, while building capacity with partners. We move quickly and act decisively To protect the rights of immigrants who have been detained, To keep families together, To keep communities whole, To keep our democracy from fraying. Because justice only for some Threatens us all. Aesthetics: Photographic treatment Photography inspired by Jacob Riis, muckraking photojournalist who shocked America’s conscience with his series “How the Other Half Lives” about conditions in New York City slums at the turn of the century, helping to define the early social reform movement. The goal is to show the pain and fear and heartache of everyone affected: detainees and their families and friends, but also their neighbors, their employers, their representatives, the entire network of people who depend on them, and all Americans who are suffering and who will suffer at the hands of state-sponsored violence against the vulnerable. This is not simply the story of, nor only a fight for, undocumented people. It is the story of, and a fight for, all of us.
Other color requirements
Let's try and make it stark, black and white
maybe try and incorporate an equal sign - or connotation of equality. Also avoid "DIC" being the focus of the logo.
