White House Usher: "Who Killed the President?"
Christopher Beauregard Emery
Author Christopher Beauregard Emery grew up on a farm in Howard County Maryland; he attended public schools, and earned his Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. Chris has more than 40 years of information technology experience, including 28 years with the federal government. He has been a Chief Information Officer, a Chief Technology Architect, and the head of software applications development. From January 1986 until March 1994, Chris was part of one of the most unique jobs in the U.S. government—an Usher in the White House. After eight-plus years at the White House, he returned to the private sector then later rejoined the federal government in senior information technology management positions, working for the US Congress, Departments of Treasury, Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice. Emery published his first book in 2017, “White House Usher: Stories from the Inside” a memoir detailing his time working for three U.S. presidents in managing the White House.
Emery's latest book is a mystery novel which takes place in one of the more unique settings in existence, the White House Executive Residence, the home of the first family. The story involves murder, romance, deceit, and a suspenseful struggle to solve the case. Emery uses his in-depth knowledge of White House history and the inner workings of the private residence to create a thrilling murder mystery from an insider’s perspective. Plot The world is shocked by the sudden death of the president and more shocked as details emerge that a White House Usher has been implicated. The evidence seems overwhelming, could be an open and shut case. But there is much, much more behind the scenes . . .
