Just a Farm Kid
Ralph C Rosenbrock
Ralph Rosenbrock grew up on his grandfather’s farm south of Chicago, where he learned the importance of a strong work ethic. After his grandfather retired from farming, Ralph moved to the suburbs of Chicago, where he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Following his decorated military service, he graduated from college and started a successful career in aviation. During Ralph’s career in the aviation field, he authored an international reference guide on helicopter operating costs. He received multiple awards from the Federal Aviation Association for his contributions to safety. He was an active member of the Helicopter Association International, The International Society of Air Safety Investigators, The National Business Aviation Association, The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association, and The Helicopter Association International. Work and personal travel has taken him to more than a dozen foreign countries and all but two U.S. states. He has been involved in several Veterans organizations, his local school board and served on a local Village Commission for more than 25 years. Ralph also found time to be active in his children’s youth baseball league and scout group. Today Ralph serves as a Certified Professional Life Coach. He chose to write this book hoping to inspire those that have been, or may be, experiencing life’s difficulties to not despair. No matter how difficult one’s situation might seem, he firmly believes that each of us can prevail and find our success.
Ralph always thought of himself a piece of unclaimed baggage left at the airport spinning around the carousel waiting for someone to claim him and take him home. That never happened. Instead of being bitter his entire life he changed his narrative and showed the world that unclaimed baggage still had worth. Just a Farm Kid follows Ralph from adolescence, military service in Vietnam , to building a professional career through pure grit, persistence and kindness. With his chosen family and friends by his side, he built a successful career culminating in managing the flight department of a Fortune 500 company. This book follows the life of a Midwestern boy who grew up feeling abandoned, yet went on to live an incredibly fulfilling life proving circumstances do not define one’s outcome in life. If you have ever felt neglected, been mistreated, or faced insurmountable odds, this book is for you. Ralph’s story shows the importance of living a life of kindness, defying fear that holds one back and staying true to one’s self
Adults that may be struggling and are looking for encouragement, or people that like success stories.
