Shining a Light on Shame
I spent the first 2/3rd's of my life believing I 'was' what I had experienced and after committing to a life of recovery from addictions and disordered eating in my 30's I began sifting through the wreckage of my past to reclaim my life eventually becoming a counsellor and later a trauma sensitive yoga teacher with my own small business.
The book is my life story about my experiences of early childhood trauma and abuse and the influence it had on my beliefs about myself and the world around me that continued through much of my life followed by my journey of healing, growth and self discovery. My intention is to inspire and educate others.
-Professionals working with those who have experienced childhood trauma. e.g. Physicians, mental health, addiction counsellors, etc. -Survivors of childhood trauma, those in recovery from addictions and/or eating disorders. Ages 18 and up, male or female, international audience as content is relatable to all
