The Three Kolumns
Numbers Kanis and his best friend Reyna Sineri don't know where they belong in the world. All they know is it's not in their home village of Woodland Heights. They register as Freelance Biological Surveyors with the company BCM as an excuse to leave Woodland Heights. Before they can leave they have to complete the Yar Promena, a pilgrimage that teaches the history of their people and the terrible things that happened a generation ago during the War of The Three Kolumns. Quickly they discover that the world has it's own plans for Numbers and Reyna. Will they be able to forge their own identity in this violent world or be consumed by it and turned into something else?
Males and females 18-35. People interested in Young Adult stories, sci-fi readers, people who like serious character driven stories.
Book cover type
The story takes place in the northern climes of a wilderness planet, lots of wild forests and rugged terrain. I'd like to have this depicted in some way on the cover. A major theme in the story is duality. Two aspects on the same thing. This could be shown on the cover as some kind of inversion. Maybe the ground being inverted in the sky or anything of that sort, not too particular on what form it takes. I'll include an image of what I was thinking. For font choice I would prefer a sans serif font. Something that communicates that this is a serious story but also in the sci-fi genre. Finally, there is a lot of traveling in the story. Most of it on foot with hiking gear. Something that could communicate this sorta road trip vibe would be great.
