The Death of Marith Keene
Kendric Neal is a graduate of Bennington College and the author of "Drawing Dead", "Veterans Day", and the Coach Mack Mystery series.
In the midst of a wrenching divorce, a former model is abandoned in a remote wilderness by her husband and must find a way to survive, confronting old memories and inner demons.
Fans of psychological horror stories.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
This is a horror story, and the character is trying to escape certain death. The character is an attractive, slender woman, aged 31, a former model. She is in the foreground, her back turned to us, facing the deep, dark woods blanketed with thick, suffocating snow (it's set in Northern Canada). There are beasts in those woods (specifically, a shadowy wolf), but even worse, somewhere in that darkness is a younger version of herself that has become a demon bent on destroying her. Its face is hidden in the shadows, but its anger and rage come through, and it's going to pursue her relentlessly.
What to avoid
The author's name shouldn't be as large as it is in some of the book covers below. The image is key, and it needs to be clear and disturbing.
