A Gathering Darkness
Lyndsey LaVan is the author of the popular Legacy of Phoenix Saga. When not lost in her own fantasy worlds she dances to 90s music or enjoys reading with sand between her toes. She resides on the shores of Lake Erie.
This is the first book in a trilogy. A Gathering Darkness is about Vampire type creatures who rule the world and humans are the cattle. A woman born in a rebel group and the rogue son of the Vamp's leader are tossed together and will end up fulfilling a prophecy that will free them all.
17 and up adults.
Book cover type
Simple but striking. I attached pictures of the covers from my first series to give an example of what I mean. I don't mind the idea of a human or humans on the cover but I need simple. The girl in the story is sandy blonde with dark brown eyes and the main Vamp is dark-haired with dark blue eyes. If that helps.
What to avoid
Fake monsters. My vampires look like everyone else so I don't want any monsters on the cover.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Lyndsey LaVan collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
