We sell bodyweight strength training books and are expanding into selling training materials and apparel. We have customers all over the world. 80%+ of our customers are male, and most of them are in the 18-35 year old demographic.
What's your vision?
We are planning on releasing the next version of our book within the next 12 months. We need a cover design that will work for our print book, as well as the digital edition of the same material. The book will likely be a large print book (~8x11), as well as PDF book. Portions of the artwork will be used various other products, including our website, digital products, t-shirts, posters, wristbands, etc., so the book cover art should be designed with this in mind. The typography of the title is likely most important, as this will be on several products. Our current book design can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Overcoming-Gravity-Systematic-Gymnastics-Bodyweight/dp/1467933120/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top The illustrations in the book (as shown on amazon) used to be mannequin drawings. Now, we are moving towards 3D models, so using mannequin drawings in the cover artwork is not desired. We require that the words Overcoming Gravity are promenant. The second part of the title (A Systematic Approach to Gymnastics and Bodyweight Strength) must also be visible, but don't need to be as commanding. The orange color has inadvertently become part of our brand, so we would like to see it incorporated into the design somewhere, but the Orange/Yellow color scheme *does not* need to be maintained. The orange *does not* be the primary color of the artwork, but it should be integral in the design.
