Heaven Help Us, Now! (Subtitle: A Self Help Guide to God’s Own First Responder, St. Jude Thaddeus)
Séamus Ó Fianghusa (Fennessy)
To be printed on the back cover: Séamus Ó Fianghusa (Fennessy) is a life-long devotee of St. Jude Thaddeus and has extensive expertise in problem solving through prayer. He is a combat veteran with over 20 years of military experience, 10 of which were served with the legendary Fighting 69th. He has garnered widespread attention and support for his campaign to rescue his bomb dog, “Bring K9 Mattie Home.” As a historian, soldier, and Irish language activist, Séamus has been featured on Fox News and the Smithsonian Channel in the U.S., and on RTÉ, TG4, and BBC in Ireland. (NOTE: Please italicize “Heaven Help Us, Now!” and put “most comprehensive self-help guide” in bold) Have you or someone you love ever suffered from: depression or anxiety, bankruptcy, homelessness, addiction, childlessness, false accusations, bullying, violence, severe illness, natural disaster, just to name a few? This book is grounded in proven wisdom which has worked without fail for millennia, because its source is the Good News of the Son of God! Let St. Jude the Apostle help lead you to the life of satisfaction and joy that only God can give. Jude Thaddeus is the Patron Saint of Hope. (NOTE: Please put “Patron Saint of Hope” in bold)
Target audience is educated adults in general. I understand that those with an interest in Catholic Christianity will have the greatest attraction to the book, but I do not want to have a stereotypical “religious book” look (though the cover image will be a version of the St. Jude image I have attached). I mean to appeal to an audience outside the normal religious demographic, without abandoning the traditional audience for Christian literature.
Book cover type
I envision the image if St. Jude I have attached to be prominently displayed on the front cover. (I attached a few versions of it). The image of St. Jude on the cover should be like a cutout, following the outline of his body. I do not want much or any of the mosaic background to be diaplayed. Having the image offset to the right is what I have in my head right now, though I am flexible and open to a new idea concerning the image placement. I have attached a sketch of what I would like the front cover layout to be. I would like the background color to be the shade of red I have included.
What to avoid
It is important to note that the paperback will be released BOTH through KDP and Ingram Spark. The dropdown menu here only allowed me to choose one but it’s actually both. The ebook will initially be only Kindle but in about three months I will release it on other ebook platforms, as well as releasing the hardback version. So if a cover could be designed that would accomodate all of that, that would awesome. Also please note that my first name is “Séamus”, my last name is “Ó Fianghusa (Fennessy)”
