The coastal Maine township of Witch's Port isn't big enough to feature on most maps, but every winter its inhabitants become the targets of some mysterious evil which lures people out into the snow and brutally murders them. The local drunk, an old woman named Merl who spends most of her time at the tavern The Lonely Bear, is convinced it's a vampire that looks like a tiny innocent child. In WITCH'S PORT, Merl sets out to stop this vampire creature once and for all.
Adults who love horror and vampires, who read a lot of Stephen King.
This book takes place in a very cold winter, so snowstorms and general cold weather could be good. The vampire appears as a small child, maybe a boy, maybe 6 years old, with blond-white hair, very pale skin, and completely black eyes without any whites. I do like minimalist imagery, but be creative. Maybe it's a small child at the center, barely visible in a completely white snowstorm; maybe it's a typography-based cover.
What to avoid
Nope! Be creative.
