Christine Melanie Benson
An attorney who's been running from the law her entire professional life, Christine Melanie Benson is also a legal writer, health coach, and host of the Vegan Posse podcast. Formerly of Boston and New York City, Christine now makes her home in Nashville, Tennessee. Marrying Myself is her first novel.
Julia Jones is about to marry her uber-wonderful, uber-wealthy soulmate, ditch her dead-end nonprofit job, and finally focus on her stalled art. But when the wedding doesn't go quite according to plan, Julia's real-life fairy tale is suddenly out the window - leaving her happy ending up to her, and her alone.
Single women in their 20s and 30s.
Book cover type
My protagonist, Julia, is 34, tall, and blond. The book is set in Boston, so a Boston cityscape sketch might work. Another option is a woman in a wedding dress or simply wearing an engagement ring standing in front of a mirror. As the title suggests, the book is ultimately about self-discovery and self-love. FYI the protagonist is an artist and a vegan who has a love-hate relationship with yoga.
What to avoid
I'd like sketches and drawings rather than photo images on the cover. I'd also like to avoid making the book seem too childish. It's a fun read, but with substance.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $399.
