Naomi Westgate is 41 year old woman who grew up in Gifu Prefecture of Japan. She has worked as a trainer, consultant and administrator for mostly international companies near her home town. She enjoys travel, forest bathing and yoga in her free time. She spends time between her homes in Japan and the United States with her American husband.
Purpose over practicality describes the formula for practicing the Japanese philosophy know as Ikigai. Ikigai is about finding your personal life mission and being intentional about how you live your life. It's about becoming content, satisfied and happy within your daily activities.
This book is the perfect pick-me-up for anyone who is tired of going through the motions in life and wants to connect to something deeper in themselves and be "glad to be alive". Target age would be any adult with life/work experience.
The cover should stand out, look classy, peaceful, though I'm open to anything at this point. Japanese imagery might be nice, but not necessary. Dimensions: 2560 x 1600 PC (standard ebook cover size)
What to avoid
-All white background and/or boarder (so it stands out on Amazon) -stereotypical and/or unrelated Japanese imagery, like a samurai, Japanese flag, temple, Mt. Fuji, etc. - DO NOT use the four-circle venn diagram that is typically used for Ikigai.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $399.

I love working with Janet. This is our third collaboration and the entire job went incredibly smoothly, from my notes to her final design. Professional from start to finish, she is intuitive, listens to my vision and interprets it into exactly what I was hoping for in a final product.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
