What's your vision?
I am looking for a complete book cover (front, back, and spine) for my novel. The title is "Wylie Westerhouse" and the subtitle is "The World Tour Begins". The novel will be approximately 275 paperback pages. This is the current book description for the back. Wylie Westerhouse had a lot going for him. He was young and cute, and had just discovered the voice that took him into the third round of “American Idol”. It didn’t last. Wylie’s charismatic young manager has fled the country—on the run from the law and the legal team that represents “American Idol”. He is accompanied by Wylie’s now ex-girlfriend. Wylie was disqualified from “Idol” in the wake of a scandal. Half a world away, a Scottish girl is faced with the fact that her family home—a decaying, secluded castle—has lost its tourist trade after a devastating flood. The future is uncertain for Holly McFadden and her uncle—and the five-hundred-year-old family of ghosts with whom they share the Castle McIntyre. The tourist city of Branson, Missouri becomes the backdrop for a young adult fantasy adventure that brings together an unlikely band of characters; in the first book of a planned trilogy. Wylie Westerhouse—Your World Tour Begins…
The Scottish castle is relocated to Branson, and is a prominent setting for the story. I wish for all of my covers to feature black and a deep rich red as primary colors. I would like a strong font, with just a hint of whimsy, such as the covers I have submitted of Half Lies, Field of Dreams, and/or What Dreams May Come. I like the lighting effects of the Dan Wells covers that I have submitted. However, my book is mostly upbeat and humorous, so it definitely should not have the backs of characters displayed. I would like to have the photoshop files. I have no intention of masquerading as a graphic artist, but I may change my book description at some point. If you feel that it is a good idea to make note of "Book One" or some other indication that this book begins a series, then please do so.
