Dallas Waldon got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create a Bold Book Cover for a Non-Fiction Fitness Book
Check out Dallas Waldon's Book cover contest…
This is a book educating laymen and fitness professionals on the issue of being skinny and having a high body fat % relative to muscle. It's aim is to show that being skinny isn't always healthy and that body composition is a far more reliable determiner of health. It will show how to recognize cases of "skinny fat", how to prevent becoming skinny fat, and how to get out of the "skinny-fat trap".
What's your vision?
Book Title: Skinny Fat Subtitle: The Obesity Epidemic Is Worse Than We Thought Byline: Bart and Dallas Waldon Authors of Weight Loss I.Q. We would like a book cover designed for a book on the topic of obesity in skinny individuals. Urban dictionary defines skinny fat as, "When someone is thin and looks great in clothes, but is all flabby underneath". We want our book cover to look serious, professional, and cutting-edge. We are open to photos, illustrations, or just typography with a sleek background. We are leaning towards a darker color scheme, but are open to all ideas. We would prefer to steer away from cartoon-style illustrations, but rather would like more abstract or serious-looking illustrations. We also prefer to avoid photos of people in big pants, and things of that nature. Show us your creativity, we are completely open to your ideas.
The book size needs to be: 5.25" x 8" It will be around 150-250 pages in length. Spine size can vary.
