We need a logo for our not-for-profit Microvolunteerism Project, that promotes the Crowdsourcing of Volunteer Work.

We are looking for an attractive logo that conveys the core ideas behind our project: global volunteerism, crowdsourcing, (distribution and co-creation of project work), and many small contributions coming together to form a unified whole.
This logo is really important to us -- it will be used on our website and all other documents related to our volunteers, participating projects, and sponsors! I also expect that the colors used in the logo will form the palette for our future Mediawiki-based website design. (On our TODO list -- once this logo contest is over.)
- Our name 'Microvolunteerism.org' should be in the logo somewhere (although the .org should be less prominent in the logo than the word 'Microvolunteerism')
- The logo should clearly convey our core ideas (i.e. volunteerism and co-creation)
- The logo should be visually appealing
- The word 'Microvolunteerism.org' needs to be integrated into a larger coherent visual design
- I have a preferance for logos with 1x1 dimensions (instead of rectangular)
- I would appreciate if you could show how the logo looks on both a dark and a light background
- No copyrighted photography, or using images (or anything else) that we would have to license..
- The logo should not look cartoonish or like clip art
- The fonts should be standard, and easy to read
- The logo should not have too many colors (please limit it to 3 maximum)
